Japanese Sword Performance Troupe "Kengishu KAMUI"

Kengishi KAMUI was formed in 1998 by Tetsuro Shimaguchi, Hiroaki Kawaguchi, and others.

KAMUI is headed by Shimaguchi who gained notoriety from the scene "Fight in a Snowy Garden" from Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill Volume 1". A sword master, Shimaguchi choreographed the sword-fighting for the film and also appeared as the character Crazy 88 #1 "Miki".

KAMUI is particularly devoted to the sword and has raised their technical level to extreme heights. The troupe sometimes choreographs their sword-fighting to music including traditional Japanese taiko and shamisen as well as modern rock and trance. They have performed around Japan and at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Chicago in the US and in Edinburgh, Scotland.

KAMUI is available for performances, film, and TV appearances inside and outside of Japan.
