He engaged in vote buying in violation of 10 ILCS 5/29-1, and he likes to take Green Party candidate Dave Kalbfleisch's statements as his own.

Kalbfleisch addressing high gasoline prices in the Pioneer Press on May 13th: "The short-term solution is not legislative; it is behavioral. If consumers lower the demand for oil by carpooling and using existing mass transit options, the price at the pump will immediately drop."

The Democratic challenger in the Daily Herald on May 20th: "Some people are forgetting about conservation. Public transportation may not be perfect, but it often works. Car pooling is still a good idea as well." (less info)
