Welcome to my YouTube page. This is a musical sketchpad, a collection of my own songs; finished, partially finished, older and newer, or just bits and pieces of ideas. I hope you enjoy and can relate to at least some of what you hear.
About Me:
My influences are pretty obvious, I would think. A baby boomer, Beatle-raised and Dylan-fed. My focus now is to write decent songs. My personal definition for "decent" means that you, the listener, are moved by the music and the lyrics.
As an added bonus, I've included John F Kennedy's famous inaugural speech, given in 1960, where he exhorted his fellow countrymen to, "Ask not..." Few people are aware of this fact: I wrote that speech for JFK. No I didn't. Yes I did.
My song about Neda won me a bunch of recognition, and that's been fun. I think the axiom that writers need to write about what they "know" in order to be credible is accurate. So that's what I'm attempting to do here. Trying to know about a few things so that I can write good songs.
