The most recent video "postcards" were made during 2006-7 and explore how removing nearly all motion from a video - almost rendering it a photograph - serves to emphasise any motion that takes place. Other sketchbook works date back as far as 1997.
Oxford Circus was made in 1999, partly in response to The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony video of 1997. A 30" test version exists with CGI snow "falling" upwards, but I thought this was distracting. It was originally only a study for a backwards film that I wanted to make, but since then that whole idea has been used to extinction (as has Teardrop (1998) by Massive Attack).
The videos are best viewed at their original size (press the button 2nd from right whilst playing), as many originate from VHS.
