Name calling? Ha. I must have struck a nerve. Barack Obama disrespected John Kerry. I don't know whether or not it's true, but I read that Kerry wasn't very happy about it. I don't think that Obama will be able to muster the kind of support from liberals in 2012 that he did in 2008. I also wonder how many young college women will want to vote for him when they find out Obama's opinion about having them sign up for Selective Service.

I think that John Kerry should challenge Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2012. Obama disrespected Kerry by not choosing him to be Vice President or Secretary of State. Kerry helped to put Obama in the national spotlight in 2004 with that speech at the convention, and then helped him win the Presidential nomination with the early endorsement. I have a feeling that many of Obama's liberal supporters will be disappointed with his performance as President, leaving him vulnerable to a challenge in his own party from the left. Obama's voting record in the Senate isn't as liberal as some might think. For example, Obama voted against an amendment that Kerry introduced in 2006 to begin withdrawing troops from Iraq.
