Don't worry, none of the previous games (except for Boulder's Quest + the RM2k3-test that both were mere experimentation) has been cancelled, they're just on hold. This little project started out as an experimentation-project. It's been hard trying to fit in game development over the last couple of month so three days ago I decided that I needed a fresh start to get back on my feet. I needed some experimental project to get the creativity going again. The thing was that I got too many ideas at once that now, so now three days later I have done enough stuff for a full 5 minute presentation, all finished material.

I will continue with this and see where it goes from here. This is in my opinion the best footage that I've been able to put together as an amateur game developer, and I hope you like it. As I don't have a über-computer and don't have a über-recorder this movie is pretty laggy, I hope you understand. This movie also runs in 20 FPS, compared to the 60 FPS you get when playing the game so it's quite a difference.

Who'd knew that RPG Maker 2003-graphics would work so well when translated correctly to VX? It's a great opportunity for VX owners who doesn't like the original RTP or owners of both 2003 and VX that would like the enhanced options and abilities VX has with the 2003-graphics like scripting, higher resolution and a 60 FPS output.

This is an example of the graphics running on VX. It might turn into a game some happy day. However, this video is just 30 FPS and contains a bit lag, so to see the full potential you'll have to try it out yourself.

The Residence of Old Riddles is here again, and while you've been seen parts of this area before you've never seen it in a full video like this. It's such a grand area that I thought it deserved its own gameplay. It has taken so long making this map, and so much effort has gone into it. And yet it's still not finished yet.

The game is due for 2010 and will then contain a mysterious and intriguing storyline with several surprising twists to encounter when you least expect it. The game will contain battles, but I decided to keep that out of this video since it's not what I wanted to show. This video was made to show off the area, the feel and the graphical style.

Edit: This was just an experiment with RPG Maker VX and I decided after losing the game files that I didn't want to continue on it. I hope you understand.

Long time, no see, huh? Well, lots of things has been going on, so haven't had much time for game development. One thing I've done the last 3-4 days however, is building up a puzzle-system for RPG Maker VX. It's mostly for experimenting but it's something I will pick up and make stuff on whenever I feel for it. The demo I've released here is short and contains the tutorial shown in this video and World 1-1. It's very short indeed, but it's more to get some response before changing anything in this simple system.

The full game includes 25+ levels (with a brutal difficulty at the end, I promise ya), tons of secrets and stuff to unlock and a depth rarely seen in puzzle-games, thanks to the RPG Maker VX. Remember that this is something I haven't put that much time into and that it's completely gameplay-based and not meant to look good. Well, enjoy and thanks for watching!

Just trying out one of my VX games, The Explorers in 640x360 (standard YouTube resolution). There is a bit of lag (okay, LOTS of lag) in this video but it's running properly in wide-screen using a resolution script.

The footage from the game is not completed stuff (mapping primarily) and is due to change with time.

After a break from The Explorers development, I'm back with a new video to celebrate the lovely holiday known as Christmas. This new video contains footage from a new area, called "Lune" that has been redesigned this December to be worthy of the name I gave it a time ago. Most of the movie is from a battle, but there's some brief gameplay with me just walking around the area in the beginning.

I've had some trouble making this movie with lag and audio out of sync but now lag is only briefly and I took audio from the game's soundtrack instead of directly from the game, so hopefully it'll look fine.

Happy Halloween, everybody and since I don't want any tricks I'll give you a treat with a 30 second brief look at something you've never seen before.

This game has been built up from the ground in secret to become a mysterious journey through the town of Bouganville to uncover the secrets of King Bougan and his kingdom.

Become a girl or boy in this bittersweet meeting in 2009. It will be a great year for all you RPG Maker lovers, I guarantee you that!

Edit: Seems like my new recording device works properly with better results. Still not optimal, but this will obviously be the first-hand choice for all future videos.

Interested in watching how The Explorers has evolved from a boring and not good-looking VX game to a fun and good-looking (well, judge for yourself) VX game? Well, this is the movie for you!

At the same time, the two villages you'll encounter in this particular video is actually early versions of villages you'll see as full-fledged places in the final game. There's also a small comparison of what has happened with The Explorers between May 2008 and October 2008 in a comparison of the village you've seen in several videos already (you're getting pretty tired of that place, right) that could be fun to watch.

While I'm on a quest to find the ultimate direct-feed game recorder for PC I decided to instead of another movie show some pictures of the game, with this simple slideshow. It does include pictures of places you've already seen but there's some interesting new stuff in there as well (which you'll see in-motion later on).

So this is the first cut-scene I'm displaying here at YouTube for my game, The Explorers and this one's taking place sometime in the middle of the game. And don't worry, you're not supposed to get anything that happens in this cut-scene since I haven't shown you what happens before it.

This a introduction to one part of the main storyline I've built up so far (this is the more cliché part) so here's a video from my game showcasing it with a flashy interface.

What is present in this movie will be in the game indeed but with a completely different text and time of appearance (it won't be the first thing you'll see after choosing "New Game"). Kudos of course to everyone who has provided scripts that I can use for my game, full credits will be in the final game (and perhaps in a future demo).

Also, if you see any mistakes in grammar or any other faults please tell me. My main language is not English (I'm only 13, as well) and therefore mistakes may occur. So don't be afraid of telling me of any mistakes.
