I am a Puerto Rican American that doesn't know much spanish at all. Believe it or not lol... I thrive on my growing collection of old school Latin music for its complex rhythms which can fire up my soul musically because I guess its in my blood.

Music: Salsa, Guaguanco, Mambo, Bembe, Plena, Guiro, Merengue, Bomba, and some Bolero. Yup those are my favorite Latin genres. Lets see... Im pretty much down with music by Willie Colon, Hector Lavoe, Ray Barretto, Sonora Poncena, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Larry Harlow, Ismael Miranda, Ismael Rivera, Roberto Roena, Ruben Blades, oh and ya can't forget El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico. I guess pretty much everyone else in the Fania-All-Stars too...
