This is arguably the largest Mayan site yet discovered with a massive central pyramid (Caana) that has on it's peak a whole plaza and 3 more large pyramids. This site puts Tikal to shame. Interesting architecture at this archeological wonder that is not too well known, and very few tourists ever visit. Big temples, ball courts, plazas, pyramids, and many Mayan hieroglyphs. The Maya here prospered. Possible original name was Oxhuitza.
