My brother is an MP over in Afghanistan. He was on post on April 21st. He decided to give us a call, just to let us know how he was doing. Nobody was home so he got the answering machine, and hung up. Just then, they started getting shot at. Somehow, his phone re-dialed, and we got this on our answering machine. He is okay.
I'm glad your brother is okay. Thank him for his service for the coalition. Even though I'm Australian, I'm proud to know that there are those who choose to fight in times of war and defend our ideals. Regards, Francis
God bless your brother and all the military men and women who are fighting overseas. I for one am grateful that these people are willing to keep freedom alive, a dream and hope of so many nations... and there are so many people unable to understand freedom and what it truly means to be free. I pray your brother returns home safe.
Perhaps the rules in Afghanistan are different but my fiance is in Iraq and they are not allowed to have cell phones b/c cell phones are used to set off roadside bombs. I have been on the phone with my fiance with incoming fire in the background. I know what it sounds like. Are you sure that's real?
