I just found out the same about iMovie for iOS. Movies I've edited in iMovie on the iPad will only upload to FaceBook and YouTube as 720p, and even then they are too highly compressed for my taste. Is this an iMovie bug?
But even more puzzling is the fact I cannot play the original *.MOV files...

It's hard to see on video because the wobble is moves rapidly. After I made this video, I swapped out the analog board and the problem went away. The waving was likely due to aging electrolytic capacitors or the latest revision flyback transformer on the new board.
