Video features dance choreographed by Stanley Love in the AUNTS MARKET commissioned with the FACTORY home made currency at GRACE EXHIBITION SPACE & GALLERY 840 BROADWAY, 2ND FLOOR BROOKLYN, NY.
In the dance money was counted and transferred in circle in billions. Dancers also moved in circle.
Produced by Roll Call the Movement Research Spring Festival 2009 the FACTORY/MARKET was a 2 day event.
FACTORY consolidates resources for production of custom-made art works in All media All day long, starting early, making T-shirts!!! Curators, artists and audience members are invited to manufacture original products at work stations designed for cooking, dance-making, screen printing, bookbinding, video-making, immaterial crafts, and more!!! All day long! Open participation!
MARKET Goods produced at the FACTORY will be sold using a handmade currency.
AUNTS is about having dance happen. The dance you've already seen, that pops into your head, that is known and expected and unknown and unexpected. Dance that seeps into the cracks of street lights, subway commotion, magazine myth, drunk nights at the bar, the family album, and the couch where you lay and softly glance at the afternoon light coming in through the window. AUNTS constantly tests a model of producing dance/performance/parties. A model that supports the development of current, present, and contemporary dancing. A model that expects to be adopted, adapted, replicated, and perpetuated by any person who would like to use it. Where performing can last five seconds or five hours; never a "work in progress." Where the work of performing is backed by the "land of plenty" rather than "there is not enough." Where the work of AUNTS defies the regulation of institution, capitalism, and consumerism. AUNTS is about being gracious in this world. Thank you.

Walking to the elevated JMZ Myrtle Broadway subway train station in Bushwick Brooklyn from the Loft on Jefferson St. Camera movements to the song "Rising and Shinning" by PTERODACTYL.
In an experiment for the bands call for videos I slowed the song down to 66% speed hoping that would smooth my camera movements then walked to the train for the morning commute moving the camera to the music.
Then end of the video is made form compositing some of the slowed down music and footage from the Myrtle JMZ platform.

Roll Call Movement Research's 2009 Spring Festival presents Walter Dundervill's "WPA" at Fred Torres Collaboration.
Dancers are helped in to Victorian fashioned costumes with all the necessary attention to the undergarments and bows. The dances preformed in the FRED TORRES COLLABORATION gallery sometimes crawling on the floor with the women's bustles in the air creating a very sexualized environment. The dancers bounced and jiggled on the floor hinting at sex.
Gretchen Ryan's paintings in the background.
There is no nudity in this video.
Walter Dundervill is a New York-based dancer and choreographer. His dance You Wrote the Book was presented in March 2008 at Dance Theater Workshop (on a shared program with Heather Olsens curious, awake not possible). He collaborated with Spradlin on the visual design of two of her dance works, under/world (2002) and NOVA (2005). Among the various dance artists he has worked for are Keely Garfield, Yves Musard, Heidi Latsky, and Li Chaio-Ping. In addition he has performed for visual/performance artists Bruce Nauman, Pat Olezsko, and David Wojnarowicz. Dundervill was born in Rome, GA and grew up there as well as in Los Angeles, CA. He attended the University of Georgia on an art scholarship where he received a BFA cum laude in Painting and Drawing. He also attended Boston University's School of Fine Arts.
