This is the second video I'm posting that has to do with exploring The Viewpoints. This video deals with duration while I try and keep everything else the same.

This is the first video that I made for my Improv class in the MFA in dance program that I'm in. We are studying The Viewpoints and this was using the idea of Architecture as source. In the book "The Viewpoints Book" the authors write, "Become acutely aware of exactly where you are and let this architecture inform your movement. Dance with the room." This isn't exactly a room nor dancing, but it does deal with architecture, of a sort.

This is an excerpt from a recent rehearsal. We're working on a section titled "under/over" - each section (trio, duet, solo) is working with this image/concept. This is a rough draft, but it is a good beginning. Also, I've sped up the video some since often when watching dance on video it is perceived as much slower than when watching live. I especially like when the other dancers run in and out - kind of Benny Hill like...
