Through efforts of the International Institute and its supporters, 25 businesses were started or expanded in 2007. Since 2000, 245 businesses have been created, strengthened or expanded with a total economic impact of $91.6 million. In addition, 132 clients received technical assistance.

45 matching savings accounts were opened in 2007. Since 1999, 511 IDA accounts have been opened with collective savings of $901,000. The combined economic impact for the city of St. Louis was $12.2 million.
