iDE -- Cultivating Potential.

iDE is a Denver-based, international non-profit organization unleashing the power of innovation and market forces to create income and livelihood opportunities for poor rural households.

1. We redesign water-lifting, irrigation, and other water access technologies so that small farmers can afford them.

2. We identify new and existing entrepreneurs who can manufacture these water systems with local resources, and local distributors who can help market them effectively.

3. We train groups of small farmers in sustainable agronomic and environmental practices appropriate to their particular region, and train them to teach their peers.

4. We facilitate local and global market connections for farmers so they can earn more income from the high-value crops they grow.

We presently operate programs in eleven developing countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
