http://hooverphonic-bootlegs.blogspot.com/ Recorded live at Magazzini Generali, Milan (Italy) during "The Magnificent Tree" tour. Download the mp3's of the whole concert here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C3L4J5XW
Tracklists and song versions like on the album, except a couple of songs whose videos were blocked by SME, so I replaced them with live or alternate versions. "Singles '96 - '06" is an anthology of the Belgian band Hooverphonic, including single versions of tracks from all of the band's previous albums. Two-disc editions include a DVD collecting all the corresponding music videos and a complete concert.
The smashing debut album of the Belgian trio, at the time known simply as "Hoover" and formed by Liesje Sadonius on vocals, Frank Duchene on keyboards, Alex Callier on bass, Raymond Geerts on guitars
The album that brough internatiol success to Hooverphonic, at the time formed by Geike Arnaert on vocals, Alex Callier on bass and programming, Raymond Geerts on guitars. Hope all the videos are available in your country: if they're not, don't worry, I included more versions of the same song (just in case)
"Hooverphonic presents: Jackie Cane", the concept album focusing on the fictional singer Jackie and her twin sister. A video to "The World Is Mine" was shooted, but since it's not available in my country, I swapped it with another one of the same song, only with no original footage (for some strange reason Sony Music Entertainment is preventing people from listening to their music and watching their videos). When studio versions were not available, I chose a live version
Sit Down and Listen to Hooverphonic, also known as Sit Down and Listen To, was released in 2003. The album was recorded live with an orchestra, but without any audience. The only single released from this album is "The Last Thing I Need Is You" (in my country the official video was blocked by Sony Music)
"No More Sweet Music" is a double CD, the group's fifth studio album, released in 2005. The first disc is titled More Sweet Music and contains 11 songs performed in the familiar Hooverphonic style, whilst the second disc contains the very same 11 songs in their remixed versions by Alex Callier. Not all the songs were available so I mixed tracks from both CD's but this will sound even better I think :-D
This is Hooverphonic's sixth studio album, the last one with Geike Arnaert on vocals. The title The President of the LSD Golf Club was originally intended for The Magnificent Tree, but the title was not allowed by Sony, Hooverphonic's label at the time. The album was recorded with live musicians and made use of the mellotron, an electronic keyboard popularised by The Beatles' Strawberry Fields Forever. The sound of the album harks back to the psychedelic era of music but clearly retains a sense of modernity.
DORLEAC is Geike Arnaert (ex-vocalist of Hooverphonic) and Spinvis (Erik De Jong), also known as Spinners. Originally the two musicians only met to compose the soundtrack to the debut film of Belgian director Hans van Nuffel "Adem" ("Breathe"). However, their collaboration went so well they decided to release a complete album containing more tracks than were planned to go into the film.
The Antler King are Esther Lybeert and Marteen Flamand. From ex Hooverphonic members Esther Lybeert and Frank Duchene, The Antler King's debut album is finally out! http://theantlerking.bandcamp.com/album/the-antler-king
