HiMY began making stop motion animation films using Super 8 film under the guidance of artist Aiko Suzuki (sister of David Suzuki) in the early '80s.
He appears in the film documentaries: City Idol (2007), A Moment of Noise (2009), World Against War -- Toronto Anti-War Actions (2008), Bike City -- Cycling Culture and Condition in Toronto (2011), Garbage Day (currently in post production).
He curated his first Peace and Social Justice themed film festival during the One Big kNOw -- Pro Peace Arts Festival in Toronto on March 12, 2006.
In 2009, he became a Founding Board Member of CLiFF, The Canadian Labour International Film Festival — The World's First National Film Festival.
He appears in the Philip Maglieri film "Garbage Day", a fly-on-the-wall documentary about the 2009 Civic Workers' Strike in Toronto.
An Independent Photojournalist, his still images appeared in Threadbare and A Moment of Noise.
