Allende had refused to give up power even when he was given the right to leave Chile with his whole family to anywhere he would like instead he committed suicide with his AK-47 given to him by Fidel Castro. Also Allende viewed the Soviet Union as Chile's so called Big Brother. After all of that he also got the country into an inflation of more than 1,200%. Now the normal amount would be around 2-8% but 1,200% can really bring down a country. When Pinochet came to power after being elected out of the Military Junta he promised the people that he would bring the country to its feet again and thats exactly what he did.

About the video you uploaded "US overthrow Democracy in Chile". I think it was a complete stupidity that someone who isn't from my country is going to tell me that Pinochet that was a "dictator" and from what the video infers a "tyrant". That couldn't be more wrong and ignorant. People had to live in terror because of Allende's communist government. The coup was being asked by the people of Chile to the generals of the military.
