Adam Hasner currently serves as the Majority Leader of the Florida House of Representatives, being first elected in November 2002 to serve the residents of the coastal communities of Southern Palm Beach County and Northern Broward County. He is the first legislator from Palm Beach County to hold that office in over 50 years.
He is a recognized leader on renewable energy initiatives and has passed legislation to promote alternative fuels, solar power and ocean energy. He and his wife Jillian both own hybrid vehicles, and Adam is even driving an electric vehicle that uses zero gas and has zero emissions.
Adam was named the American Cancer Society Legislator of the Year in 2005 and 2006 for his efforts that have broadened access to innovative cancer research and treatment for Floridians and was instrumental in securing the funding for the Florida Atlantic University Medical School Program.
