If anyone disagrees with any of those bands, here's some explanations:
- KISS and Alice Cooper are not really glam metal but they were the main influences.
- Aerosmith weren't really Glam Metal but they were for a short period.
- Bon Jovi aren't Glam Metal now but they were when they started off.
- Hanoi Rocks and New York Dollsare more Punk but they have some similarities and they have the same image.
- Def Leppard claim they are not Glam Metal but they are very close.
- Guns 'N Roses aren't quite Glam Metal but they are sleaze which is a variation of Glam Metal.
- Scorpions and Thunder are more Heavy Metal but their music is very close.
- Van Halen doesn't really have a genre, but Glam Metal is their closest.
