Keeping the scientific publishing process ethical is in everyone's best interest, from scientists to peer reviewers, from editors to publishers. Publishers, academic institutions, government and nonprofit organizations all put forth an enormous effort to set formal criteria and clear guidelines for authors, reviewers and publishers.
