About Me:
My name is Tate, I'm a 14-year-old freshman abiding in the state of New York, just 40 minutes north of the Big Apple, although I would give anything to go back to the west and live there! Lots of my time is dedicated to my phenomenal horse (which I lease), but besides riding I'm a professional horse show photographer (JJI Photography), I love music and am an avid concert-goer and guitar player, and I absolutely LOVE traveling the world with my camera as my partner.
**And now, my life: ALAN**
I began leasing Alan back on October 31st, 2008 (at 4:51 PM if we want to get REAL technical) and since then, my life has been changed. He has taught me more than anyone else has, and on days when I just want to give up, or days when I'm too nervous and don't believe in myself, he never gives up on me. He always believes in me. And I don't think that there is any other horse out there like that, who is that in-tune with it's rider. I could be crazy, but I do feel like if I had ended up leasing another horse, I may have given up a long time ago.
Alan is a 17.0h chestnut Thoroughbred, who raced in Maryland for many years before he eventually became a show jumper. Soon he became my old trainer's first junior jumper, and has been to shows all over the east coast. Now he is 21, and he still has more fire in him than lots of horses who are much younger than him. Our record jump together was a 3'9 oxer, and I will never forget that day (the video is on Youtube).
