Ground Zero is a german melodic death metal band from the Westerwald with influences
from Melodic, Death, Heavy, and Blackmetal. The music defines itself by hard and
melodic guitar riffs, driving basses, clear and shouted singing and hammering drums.
Founded 2005, through-lived Ground Zero many occupation changes. From origin
occupation only guitarist Sam Razr and bassist Alexander Klöckener are remaining.
With rhythm guitarist Maximilian Vingerhoets, singer Christian Hombach and drummer
Christopher Seifen came also the style change from Punkrock to the today's style. The
name "Ground Zero" does not mean 9/11/2001 but was chosen as symbol for the
music style years before the disaster had happend.
