This incompleted run was produced back in February 2010, just a few months after the game was released. The game didn't have many factors in a speed run that made the previous game great. In fact this is the most unbreakable game as of 2012, yes even Skyward Sword is more broken than this.
Another annoying thing is that you are restricted at late hours of the day to get a good recording with the camera. Luckily I now have a modified DS to record video via USB cable. After producing the New 2012 Phantom Hourglass speed run, there is a chance I will redo this run segmented but it will be longer than Phantom Hourglass, predicting as low as 5 hours to as high as 6.5 hours.
SDA used to have a strict rule before 2011 where all of the single segment runs were not allowed to use the save feature, even if it saved time. Hence these runs are called single segment. But thanks to popularity of Livestreaming and races they finally accepted Segmented runs in 1 sitting in 2011. These runs are known as: Single Segment with Resets, it's also known as RTA in the Japanese community as they have been doing Single segment with resets much longer.
SDA however can't say yes to every game on the list though. They only accept games to have 'Single Segment with Resets' if the time saved is significant enough.
Notable examples: The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time: Save Warping after executing the Door of Time Skip. Without Save warping players are forced to go to the Shadow Temple as a Child and collect the hover boots. Then as Adult players need to go Out of Bounds and then perform a Crouch stab recoil boost by recoiling against a wall followed by equipping the hover boots to boost the distance, crossing over the gap to get around the blocked Door of Time
Games that does not accept Single Segment with Resets: The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask: - After completing the first cycle (using the song of time). If players reset the game, it's possible to skip a small cutscene in Clock Town after loading up the game again. However this only saves 30 seconds which is very little in a 1 hour 50 minute run.
The World Record Run on New Super Mario Bros (DS). This got accepted on SDA and as of October 31st (in America) it got Published to the site.
The 100% run is basically having 3 stars next to the player's file. To get 100% it has to include: * Clearing 8-Bowser Castle ** Clearing all of the stages, hidden exits and using all of the cannons. *** Collecting all 240 star coins and pay all of them by paying sign posts and touch screen backgrounds.
This is the multi segment practise run on Zelda Phantom Hourglass in under 3 hours and 40 minutes.
This entire run has been stolen by ChRizzz13. I did not gave him any permission of him uploading my entire run, I told him to remove the videos but he doesn't listen because he is a prick.
This playlist has all of the videos segments made by me.
This channel is mostly focused on speed running that includes tricks, glitches, individual levels or full game runs. The console games are recorded from a DVD recorder while the DS console is modded to support USB video output. The videos that say TAS means it is a Tools Assisted Speedrun/Superplay showing gameplay that usually surpass human limits. Tetris DS is a good example of a speedy TAS.
I am currently working on a new version
of Phantom Hourglass. It's probably going to take nearly half of the year but the run quality will go beyond expectations.
Real Time & Tools Assisted Speed runner.
I don't SUB 4 SUB..
