What you don't seem to get, Sandie.. is that every politician has a big ego, or they wouldn't be politicians. Ego isn't what makes or breaks a president. It's ideas and how he/she carries them out. Hopefully, Obama will be able to work his way thru the mess Bush left him.
You misunderstand. I'm not pointing out the narcissistic nature of Obama because an ego disqualifies a person for office. I simply find it troubling that so many people have fallen in love with a pure politician. He is, in fact, a well trained, highly skilled insider who has played all sides his whole life. I also find it sad that the first Black president is a dark skinned White person with no Black cultural ties. Im still waiting for the first truly disenfranchised minority to achieve high office on merit. It will probably be a Latino. |
