Our film documentary "SPANKING JONI MITCHELL", about singing icon Joni Mitchell, focuses on her friendship with legendary rocker NEIL YOUNG.

Glamorous You Tube singing star ANNIE CANADA plays Joni. It's a funny, sexy , dark, edgy GossipShow project beginning production soon, about how women can prevent being abused in a relationship, based on Joni Mitchell's experiences fleeing a bad one.

Inspired by You Tube acts ANGELA GEGG(Proshka) and RAVEN SMITH (RadicalComedy) and featuring music by 11 You Tube recording acts including ANNIE CANADA, HELEN AUSTIN, SHANNON BLYSTONE, BLEACH, KAT PARSONS, KYRIE, HILLA DAVIDSON, LEAH CLARK, DEBBIE VICARI, SARAH AMSTUTZ, and KARIN FREDRIKA (see GossipShow VLOGS and "Favorites" to hear these artists perform their material from the "SPANKING JONI MITCHELL" soundtrack.



To be filmed partially on the actual location in Winnipeg, Canada where NEIL YOUNG and JONI MITCHELL were friends in the 1960's. At Neil's house at 1123 Grosvenor Avenue...his high school (Kelvin)...




"SPANKING JONI MITCHELL" is based on a true incident. See page 230 of the book published in April 2008 by New York Times best seller author Sheila Weller "GIRLS LIKE US: CAROLE KING, JONI MITCHELL, CARLY SIMON—AND THE JOURNEY OF A GENERATION:


"At some point after Joni returned... in the early winter of 1966-67, Chuck confronted her (Chuck Mitchell her husband)...This wasn't the first time he'd shown his young wife his anger and insecurity... "I got paranoid, and all this garbage was coming out [in my mind] about my trying to control Joni and my resentment "of her success" and "my fear of losing her...she said, 'You're bringing me down," Chuck admits. He repeatedly asked her if she'd had an affair. She challenged his right to ask the question. She said something like 'Well, what if I did?'"...Joni was so angry at Chuck's possessiveness. ("She'd always say, 'Don't be possessive!'")..." And then, Chuck recalls: "I TURNED HER OVER MY KNEE AND SPANKED HER."
