Gordon Sturrock questions CALC at their March 4, 2009 presentation and finally(!) hears some admissions of truth on Israeli involvement in the Middle East holocaust, that Israel's use of white phosphorous weapons during the Gaza Hanukah massacre was immoral, abhorrent, and most importantly, criminal. After two years of intense efforts to evoke such truths from CALC, this is the first time it has ever been documented.

Contrary to CALC's suggestion in the video that the white phosphorous rounds "came from the same warehouse in Iraq that supplies American soldiers", the rounds were actually photographed in the possession of IDF forces revealing a lot number: PB-91K018-035, which indicates that they were assembled by Pine Bluff Arsenal (PB) in October 1991, assumingly by well paid American citizens.

Eugene activist Lynn Porter asks the right question, "How can we make our Eugene peace movement more serious?" The answer is as simple to say as it is hard for many to digest. We must recognize our third illegal occupation - that of Palestine by U.S. funded and politically protected Israel. The occupation of Palestine is illegal, violent and racist, and the Gaza massacre is our massacre as well. Israeli aggression, not terrorism (inevitable guerilla opposition to brutal occupation by a vastly superior force), is our problem. Until we face this inconvenient truth, our best efforts to stop the wars will be in vain since the war on terror originated and remains perpetuated by Israels occupation and oppression of Palestine. Without our knee-jerk support of Israeli abuses, Islamic outrage would not be directed against us. If CALC intends to pose as leaders of the Eugene Peace Community, they have a profound obligation to hold themselves accountable to this well-documented truth. It is my duty to inform that this is not happening. Our peace movement is failing, nationally and locally, because it doesn't embrace what the Empire fears most, the truth. Gaza, 2008-09 is tragic evidence of our failure.
