This has everything... great song, composition, arrangement, performance, etc. Epiphany is a word that comes to mind. The musical gods had a hand in this cutting of this track. It is truly a great and rare work of art.

They're in a helicopter. I've seen other footage from this shoot taken from the beach. A helicopter would disappear behind the waves sometimes because the waves were so high and the helicopter was so low.

Looks like Dick and Sly are just being themselves. Dick was the host and had a show to run. He did only what he could do. You gotta give him and Ed Sullivan credit for putting on people like Sly, Hendrix, James Brown etc. and showcasing them to middle class 60's white America.
