Gnostic Media is the official website of author Jan Irvin.

Here, the word "gnostic" simply pertains to knowledge [Greek gnosis, knowledge, from gignoskein, to know] and extends far beyond a study of what are commonly referred to as the "Gnostic Texts." I focus on ancient religions, shamanism, entheogens, fertility cults, and esoteric knowledge that has been suppressed over time and sculpted into the religions of the world, as well as politics, history and many other topics.

Occult knowledge, held sacred to the religious elite, is now rising to the surface as more and more parallels are found between the controlling religions of the world and the native peoples left in their wake.

My mission is to produce multimedia reflecting this knowledge in the form of documentary films, podcasts, books, video blogs, etc.

I have to admit that I've never read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand although, judging from her interviews that I've watched on youtube, she is in favor of less government and a free-market economy. How are either of those two ideas bad? And I read a comment on here that said "It also appears that she was funded by these same bankers to write her books." I would like to know why this person thinks this and if it actually were true then why was the main-stream media, back when she was still alive, so hell bent on smearing her reputation? I think that Ayn Rand was a great philosopher and if anyone wants to have an accurate opinion of her work (instead of an opinion that is based off of what someone else said) then I encourage people to look at some of her interviews on Youtube and even read one of her books. See her views for yourself and then make a judgement. This is the only fair way to come to a conclusion about her.

I've been noticing a lot of regurgitation of Ayn Rand lately in the media, possibly because of Glenn Beck's ( oh how it pains me to defile this channel with that name ) promotion of Atlas Shrugged. I wonder if his right wing fans know that she was also a flaming atheist ? Not that they really get into investigating any of the propaganda that gets hurled their way. I mean nothing against atheists, of course. I feel the same way Jan does about her. It's interesting FICTION. Her "capitalists" were inventors and producers... not the usurpers of capital and abusers of resources on our plates. I think the character of Galt invented an engine that would be powered by static electricity, perhaps based on Nikola Tesla's work. Not only did she fail to realize that the same institutions finance all sides of every conflict, but that those same forces could shut down the work of a genius like Tesla as JP Morgan did.

You ever think about having Jonathan Ott on your show? I am close to finishing reading 'Supernatural' by Graham Hancock and he is referenced in it with some very interesting points.

It's not $120 - Amazon is lying about it being out of print. Go to his website directly - monetary.org

I would get his book. But I don't have 120 dollars to give out :(

It's also unfortunate that Ayn Rand (not her real name) didn't realize that the same bankers who funded this current fiasco are the same ones who funded and created the Soviet Union and the Bolshevik revolution. The wealthy elite have always funded both sides, that's a fact. I find her rhetoric to be factually biased and inaccurate of historical accounts of this sort of thing. It also appears that she was funded by these same bankers to write her books.

Here are my thoughts on Ayn Rand-

-She didn't realize the failure of her "ideological" theories in humankind itself - She always has a need for this grand man to worship, a John Galt (or what ever his name was in the book). She doesn't take into account psychological warfare, media manipulation, corporate greed and resource abuse, the drive for profits to feed the stock holders, etc. She only lays out the wealthy savior of mankind. But unfortunately, nearly every case of these types of people I've studied rose to power, not by the ideology she'd like to sell in the perfect man to rescue her (and mankind), but by manipulation, lies, assassinations, government coups, usury/banking schemes, etc. Less Randian and more Machiavellian. Less romantic longing and more fact of history.

On Rand: See Stephen Zarlenga's Lost Science of Money book - and also listen to my interview above - "Money's Dirty Little Secrets" - with Stephen Zarlenga. Use the trivium - also listed above.

"These guys also subtly promote Ayn Rand who is behind a lot of this stuff too."

What does this mean? I'v read her fiction and thought it was ok. Could you explain what's wrong with it or give me a book to read or something :)
