GOING STEADYを解散。その後ヴォーカル峯田和伸が銀杏BOYZを 結成。当初は峯田のソロ名義であったが、同じくGOING STEADYの安孫子真哉(ベース)と村井守(ドラム)、新ギタ リストのチン中村をメンバーに迎え、2003年5月から本格的に 活動を開始。ヴォーカル峯田はバンド活動の傍ら、映画「アイデン &ティティ」に映画初出演。
