To all those of you who enjoy laughing out loud and can make it to Kirkland this evening ( Sept 12 ), I would highly recommend visiting Laughs Comedy Club and enjoying the antics of Emo Philips! I just returned from the 10:30PM show, and have no idea how I'm ever going to get rid of the additional laugh lines in my face.

He does not rely on profanity in his act, but rather on intelligent, insightful, and sometimes misguided views on relationships, religion and politics. And Emo was kind enough to spend time with yours truly and his friends after the show; sign autographs, get pictures, etc.

Hello all!

Lately, I have been getting requests about videos that are no longer in circulation. Some of these requests have been coming from ex-cast members, believe it or not! So, if you happen to have any VHS tapes of older episodes ( prior to 1990 ), and are willing to let me transfer the stuff to digital, please let me know. In the meantime, we are at the mercy of King 5, and their re-run schedule as to what gets posted in high quality. If you happen to provide something that an Almost Live! cast member is looking for, you will not only be recognized on this channel, but I will personally forward you info to said actor! What more could you ask for?

Thank you to all of you for your kind words and personal support. For those of you who are no longer in our area, come back soon! We miss our natives and can't wait to welcome you home!

To all the firefighters out there, a big THANK YOU!  As I see all the carelessness that occurs in daily life, I have nothing but pure respect for the men and women who have to wear the heavy gear in unbearable temperatures in order to protect the lives that are near and dear to us! Please be sure and report any loonie that tosses their fresh butt into the median; that beauty bark or dry grass fire may cause the next major incident in your community.

Just a quick shout out to Dave Niehaus, who today called his 5,000th Mariner Game at Kauffman Stadium. I am one of those folks who prefers to mute the sound on the tv and turn up the radio rather than listen to other announcers. Dave Niehaus IS the voice of the Mariners!

I want to send a quick shout out to Jesse Case. I really enjoyed his set at Laughs in Kirkland earlier this month, and I am still cracking up at his routine. He, too, is an equal opportunity offender, and does not let a mere restraining order stop him from getting within 10 miles of your wife ( or Kent, for that matter ). He had some very original material, and was not afraid to throw it out there and see what sticks. He had the local crowd in stitches.

Jesse has a 20 minute set during the Best of Seattle show at the Comedy Underground on April 22nd. For six bucks, you can't go wrong in attending this performance. If not, check out his my space page ( thejessecase ) and see when his next performance is and grab your tickets early. I don't know much about the other headliners, but Jesse Case is sure to entertain!

My sympathies to those Northwest folks who lost their jobs today. If any of you have "a camera and an empty room down the hall", I am 100% behind any Almost Live! spin-offs you want help creating or promoting. Not sure where the profit comes from, but I never was a marketing guru.

Hang in there. The state of our county is King...uh, strong! :-)
