Linda has 6 children between and a new daughter-in-law as of July 2005.An alumnae of Fordham University, she and her husband, Ian, built their own successful travel business, Swain Tours to be the largest of its kind in the travel industry.

Linda has received the 2005 Emmy Award for Outstanding Program Feature and Best Show Host for 2006 for the Mid- Atlantic Region.

She has been recognized as one of Pennsylvania's Best Women in Business by Governor Tom Ridge. Along with her husband she has been awarded Greater Philadelphia's Small Business Persons of the Year, Wharton School of Business Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies for 3 consecutive years and Working Parents of the Year by the Terry Lynn Lokoff Childcare Foundation.

Linda received the prestigious honor of "Citizen of the Year" in 2005 by the March of Dimes and most recently in October 2006 by Vision for Equality, an advocate organization for people with disabilities for Moms on the Move.

Linda has also penned an Anthem for the city of Philadelphia entitled, "The Philadelphia Song" which is used to promote tourism. She is executive producer of the exciting IMAX signature movie "Home of Freedom" based on her song and shown continuously at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia.

She is an active board member of Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis and Education, an organization that mentors over 10,000 "at risk" children in the Philadelphia Region and also Mommy's Light Organization serving children whose mothers are deceased or have a life threatening illness.

After 20 years of being a mom and meeting other moms around the world for her work, Linda saw a great need for mothers to be recognized for their achievements and have an outlet to empower other people with their stories. She believed she could be effective serving a larger community through television. Without prior television experience but with her idea, her passion to empower mothers, Linda went LIVE on the air, cold turkey, with her segment on NBC10 in Philadelphia 2002 with Moms on the Move. Now Moms on the Move is an exciting show where mothers across the country and the world can be a part to help make a difference.
