My wife and I are active German cultural dancers on 2 different German groups from the Phoenix Club German Cultural Center in Anaheim, California, U.S.A.. We are currently active dancers in Die Gemütlichen Schuhplattler and we are also the Tanzmajor and Tanzmariechen (aka the Tanzpaar) for the Anaheim Karnevalsgesellschaft Prinzengarde in Anaheim, California U.S.A.

My wife loves riding dressage. We travel around southern California to different horse shows.

About Me: Die Gemütlichen Schuhplattler have been part of the Phoenix Club in Anaheim, California since 1971. The group's objective is to preserve the traditions, customs and folk dances of the alpine regions of Germany and Austria. Folk dances are performed at festivals throughout the year, as are demonstrations of folk art and folklore. The Anaheim Karnevalsgesellschaft Prinzengarde is the Royal Guard to the Prince and Princess of Mardi Gras. They create high-energy dance routines each year to entertain audiences at not only Karneval events, but also at other German cultural events during the year. In the past the Prinzengarde have traveled to Washington DC, Germany, Canada and to Milwaukee for the German Fest. The Prinzengarde is looking for new members. The current dancers range in age from 16 to 50's. Practice are held once a week for several months prior to the Karneval season. Karneval performances are scheduled in November, January, February and occasionally March. Please contact our group leader if you are interested in joining our group.
