An ad for the Polaroid Swinger, which was the Ipod of its time. My brother had one, as did a lot of people. The Swinger was an indestructible lightweight plastic instant camera that you could carry along on trips.
You looked in the viewfinder and if the light was sufficient, you'd see the word "YES" (some Swingers would say "NO" as well, our didn't, it was either YES or nothing at all). You snapped the picture, waited ten seconds, and peeled off the backing to get a tiny little black and white photograph. But it was an instant camera that was actually affordable and that made it quite the rage. Of course the catchy jingle helped a lot, too.
I think my folks still have my brother's Swinger packed up in a box in some storage room someplace. Probably next to his Ratfink model.
A moment of silence for the Polaroid Corporation.

It took me a while to get this up (computer saying "No! Okay, now you can"), and five hours to complete. I'm completely satisfied with how it came out, considering time.
And honestly, this is an ironic song. It's really depressing, but has a tune that you just can't help but dance to. I couldn't help myself and integrated that into the video. I hope you people enjoy it. ^.^
Anime used (In order of appearance): Naruto, Cowboy BeBop, Tenchi Muyu, Ouran High School, S.O.S Brigade, Bleach, Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (The Wallflower), Suskiyo.
Lyrics:
People Who Died - Jim Carroll Band (according to sing365.com, this song was released in 1980 in Catholic Boy, so there's the age gap.)
Teddy sniffing glue, he was 12 years old Fell from the roof on East two-nine Kathy was eleven when she pulled the plug On 26 reds and a bottle of wine Bobby got leukemia, 14 years old He looked like 65 when he died He was a friend of mine CHORUS: Those are people who died, died Those are people who died, died Those are people who died, died They were all my friends They just died G-Berg and Georgie let their gimmicks go rotten So they died of hepatitis in upper Manhattan Sly in Vietnam, took a bullet in the head Bobby OD'd on Drano on the night that he was wed They were two more friends of mine Two more friends that died CHORUS Mary took a dry dive from a hotel room Bobby hung himself from his cell in the tombs Judy jumped in front of a subway train Eddie got slit in the jugular vein And, Eddie, I miss you more than all the others (First time) And I salute you, brother (Second time) This song is for you my brother CHORUS Herbie pushed Tony from the Boys' Club roof Tony thought that his rage was just some goof But Herbie sure gave Tony some, some bitchen proof Herbie said, "Tony, can you fly?" But Tony couldn't fly, Tony died CHORUS Brian got busted on a narco rap He beat the rap by rattin' on some bikers He said, "Hey, I know it's dangerous, But it sure beats Riker's" But the next day he got off'd By the very same bikers CHORUS Repeat through "Eddie"
