On 17 March 2009 in Calgary, Canada, the Mohawk Nation veteran activist, Mr.Dacajeweiah (Eng.Splitting the Sky) was arrested and charged with "obstruction".
Mr. Dacajeweiah broke through police lines in his attempt to conduct a couragous "citizen's arrest" of former US president George W. Bush. The Mohawk leader pierced a thick wall of security. He broke through a tight phalanx of state protection for alleged perpetrators of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and crimes against the peace. His trial was in June 2010 and he was fined to donate 1000 $ to a charitable organization of his own choice, though he was initially allowed 5 days, to present evidence of war crimes against Mr. George W. Bush, his case was eventually turned down by the Canadian state.
With his courageous act, Splitting the Sky announced the unwillingness of millions of global citizens to tolerate any longer the culture of impunity that places a small, interlinked global plutocracy above the law....

More than one hundred Islamic scholars representing various Islamic trends have issued a statement denouncing the Syrian regime and forbidding continued service in the Syrian army and security forces. They have also called on all Arab and Muslim states to withdraw their ambassadors from Syria and put pressure on the states which are continuing to support President Bashar al-Assad's regime, especially Russia and China.
