part eight respond - to freddie's fan
Freddie mentioned about Crazy Mariah's harsh comment. Her comment about the filipinos is nothing new. It was not the first time. Ever since, the filipinos were called "great imitators" (like monkey) by the foreigners. Freddie should know this, bec. he belongs to the old generations. About 99.99% of your entertainers and common citizen in your country embracing (imitating) the westerner's style. Why did Freddie, singled out Charice? He really sounded so insanely jealous and an enormous enviousness on Charice's accomplishments abroad. |

part seven - tp freddie's fan
If you guys think, that she's not that good, and her voice is not that great, then so be it. Every one has different set of ear drums. But, is it fair to her to be judged, criticized, & ridiculed by Freddie and his fans, or other entertainer's fans? Did she ever bad mouth or criticized your idol before, to be whipped with unpleasant comment by him ( freddie)? |

part six respond - to freddie's fan
Freddie or any body doesn't have the right to put her down. This guy, Arnel is so right, freddie went overboard. Yes, he admitted that Charice has a good voice, but yet, he threw some kind of agreement that if she will sing filipino songs abroad, the more he will praise her. Why, he thinks he is an influential figure in Charice's life? Charice is a filipino too like you and your idol, why can't you and this freddie guy just be proud of her accomplishments whether she will sing filipino songs or not. She represents your country. If we, Americans saw her potentials, why can't you guys? Why are you (filipino people) depriving her of your supports, that she rightfully deserves? |

part five respond- to freddie's fan
Your idol freddie should get a reality check. How could we understand Charice if she will sing filipino songs like how he wanted. How could we support her here in U.S if we do not understand the heck she is singing about. Didn't he realizes that, before he lashed Charice with his stinging words? Besides, who is he in Charice's life to demand things like that? Who is he for Charice to obey him? Did he provide food and shelter to Charice & her family, during that time they were struggling for their lives? At her very young age, she managed to put food on their table. That's a very mature thing to do. |

part four respond - to freddie's fan.
That's why when a new comer enter your entertainment industry, (espe. if she/he is not good looking) she/he will not get a support from you guys even though she/he is way, way better than your chosen idol/idols. Because of in denials, crab mentality, & turkey pride of other filipino fans. |

part three respond- to freddie'sfan
You have to have an extra ordinary talents to be accepted here. We have tough competitions and the highest expectations. And Charice met all the qualifications, to be called by David Foster, "A Star is born". She gets the U.S support, even though she is from your country. We even admitted, that her voice is way better than our own entertainers like Miley Cyrus and even Celine. Because that's a fact. That's how we are here. We base it on the real thing. When it comes to entertainment, we support the one that really has talent/talents no matter where she /he came from. Unlike, majority of the filipino fans, you get emotionally so involved with your chosen idol/idols even though they are not really good. You become so fanatics and blinded by your own emotions in supporting your idols. |

Part two -respond to Freddie's fan
It is not just about range or belting the high notes. Charice's voice sounds alive, whole, very steady, clear and doesn't break even on the highest notes, and her voice goes through you, you feel it. If you guys who doesn't like Charice, could only pay attention, listen, and not be prejudice when she sings, maybe you will hear & feel what we Americans could hear from her voice every time we listen to her sing. We Americans recognized her true raw talents and she deserves our full support. |

This is part one of my respond to one of Freddie's fans.
I do not care whether Charice's concert in her own country was flopped, nor other filipinos like you (her own race) ridiculed, criticized, belittled, & mocked her. So what, if she's not popular in her own country. She is better off here anyway, she is earning dollars. The girl has a very unique set of pipes. She is the only one in this century who has blessed with this kind of voice and even David Foster said so. Us here, we don't understand why her own people in the Phil. can not hear the uniqueness of her voice. Your idol Freddie made a comment that, any filipina with high range of voice could sing Celine's songs. |

Hypothetical, what if her daughter Maegan will have the same opportunities like Charice, and also dream to have a chance to sing on Oprah, or Ellen, and to be in David Foster's camp, but she has to sing the songs they have requested (Celine's or whitney's songs), is he still going to demand the filipino songs, even it will jeopardize his daughter's opportunity to be known here in U.S? Is he going to forbid her daughter to pursue her dreams to be a U.S performer like Charice, bec. she has to sing american songs and somebody else songs? I wonder how deep his nationalism and patriotism if his daughter were given the same opportunities like Charice. This remain to be seen. Isn't it?
