The Nederlands Blazers Ensemble (NBE) comprises musicians from all the major Dutch symphony orchestras; winds, horns, percussion and double bass. The ensemble is famous for its high level of performance and its unique and adventurous programming. Categorisations such as 'classical' or 'contemporary' are too narrow for their programmes, but one element they all share is a sense of the theatrical.

Het Nederlands Blazers Ensemble (NBE) wordt gevormd door musici uit de belangrijkste Nederlandse symfonieorkesten. Het is een vriendenclub van ruim twintig musici (hout, koper, slagwerk en contrabas) die ongeveer vijftig keer per jaar bij elkaar komt om bijzondere programma's te spelen in binnen en buitenland. Het NBE geeft haar programma's, die vaak de indeling 'klassiek' en 'hedendaags' ontstijgen, graag een theatraal accent.
