Emily Palen has premiered her tenaciously original style throughout the bay area, from the Fillmore West to the streets of San Francisco; country weddings to beatnick art galleries. She is devoted to honest expression in each moment, making each performance unique. She blends her rigorous classical training with a passion for haunting melodies and heartshifting harmonies; style influences and repertoire span rock, classical, gypsy, celtic, jazz and blues. As a soloist, collaborater and bandmember she has performed in a variety of arenas including local rock clubs, concert halls, private parties, and recording studios. Palen performs with notable Bay Area rock band Dolorata,; currently in the studio completing their first full length album. She recently finished recording an album with Americana band Silveroot, out of Calistoga. Emily also composes original music for weddings, ceremonies and films, inspired directly from the client's vision. Combining passion, education and professionalism, Palen delivers consistently striking performances.
