Even Chinese New Year albums cannot compete with the Eid album prices, according the RIM (Recording Industry Association of Malaysia) chart, as in the Eid season (from the latter half of Ramadan until the 7th day after Eid) the first, second, third places in the chart will be taken by Eid albums.
TV programmes and radios play Eid songs and video clips round the clock during this period, spreading a sense of anticipation and joy throughout the community.
