Used clips on youtube and the movie Urga (1991) so all credits go to those people. I just re-used them to create something new. I didn't have the time nor skills to get a lot into After Effects, so it looks a bit crappy sometimes. It's all about the concept.

I've been messing around with Adobe After Effects and this is the result. My first creation with Ae. Although I spent hours working on it, it looks a bit cheap, but that's what you get with a handycam and poor hardware. ;) This should be widescreen, but somehow... :s

A real quicky. I've been messing around and I was just behind my craptop and thought it would be nice to make a really quick video of me doing Cripple Creek. The audio is crap, the video is lame but it's all about the performance and the fun of it! (small mistake in the beginning and half way..)

So, I've been messing around on my banjo. This piece is just really simple with Em and C chords. I love the sound and Kongurei really fits to it this way.
Also, I got the new Huun huur tu cd in the mail which I just had to promote. Oh yeah, something I found really special: The cd has been recorded in the Netherlands! So I hope I didn't miss a big concert over here...

An instruction on how to get oiduupaa style kargyraa. This course is not suited for beginners!
It's still a lot of experimenting, but I hope you get an idea on how to perform this style. Good luck!

I did a quick improvisation of The orphan's lament on the accordeon. I really felt like a sad song with some tragic vocals. I ended up doing some khoomei, sygyt and even some Oidoopaa kargyraa!
The composition is very similar to the Huun Huur Tu version. Enjoy! ;)

Style: Khoomei, Nasal Kargyraa (Throat Singing, Oidoopaa style)

This is the last piece (fifth) recorded in the hallway. This is my own version of Kongurei, a rather sad song. The chords are very simple, but make the song a bit more dramatic. In this piece I used a bit of nasal kargyraa (through my nose). This makes it sound a bit darker. I believe Oidoopaa used this style as well.
