Tower Defence Evolution - a tangible take on the tower defence sub-genre. This is moments before the Games & IT showcase started. Date filmed 29/10/09
We had over 100 people who played it on the day, and several hundred who watched on as others played.
The game is played using one of three different "paddles" each one controls a unique jet. Either red for the fast shooting jet, blue for the slow but powerful lightning jet, and green for the splash damage & slow effect jet.
Also implemented is a full upgrade system where you fly the jet to a special "upgrade building" that will deduct gold from your total and give your jet more power, speed and range.
The game features 14 unique waves in its current form, however we are far from finished.
This project was created by two Bachelor of Games & Interactive Entertainment students - Kevin Gosschalk (programmer, designer, concept) and Lee Claydon (artist, animator, designer)
Future videos to come - project will expand over the coming months.

Building strategic fortifications, he must defend himself against the seemingly endless hordes of critters!
