Freedchick, you may benefit from a frenectomy; however, these spaces usually don't close by themselves. Your dentist or orthodontist should be able to offer you some options such as retainers, conventional orthodontics, or InvisAlign to close the space.

Yes, very likely, but she needs to follow up with her dentist, as well as possibly and endodontist (root canal specialist) and/or a periodontist (gum disease specialist). There is a chance there is an underlying and uncorrected problem that led to the need for root canal therapy to begin with.

I had a question for ya since I saw you comment on a frenulectomy video. Do you do alot of those cases in your practice? If so how normal is it for the individual to loose almost all their movement of the lip after such a procedure? My periodontist left out alot of information during my pre-op appointment @_@.
