For Independence Day 2009, I thought it would be fun to record the fireworks using my Sony Handycam HDR-UX1 (which is the first of the Sony line of HD camcorders) which has a "Slow Motion" mode. Basically, it takes 3 seconds of video and records it directly to memory and then writes it to disc as 12 seconds of 120fps awesomeness. These are cheap fireworks, too!

I through this together with Vegas 9.0. I know much of the footage is blurry -- I was on "manual focus" mode all night T_T
