If you have specific questions, please call the ADA Center at 800-949-4232 (V/TTY). We're not able to address specific issues here. Thanks!

Is there a Law that makes the State Welfare Agency have to give a disabled person a shot at a computer based occuptaion for which they are well trained? I need a job but everytime I get an nterview they always send a letter saying they hired someone more suited to the job however a few weeks later the same job is open again. Can I force them or sue them to make them give me a chance at doing this job?? I have a family who needs me to support them financially. Thanks Frustratted in oregon

I am very grateful for your efforts. I require accomodations and am reluctant to ask because I am not versed with and do not know the limits of the law in regard to disability law. Please address the issue of provision of instruction to use assistive technology for the purpose of facilitation of my education and communication. Should there be a paid college staff member available to train me to use AT? Is that part of the law?
