Hi, I'm Susan Wood. I am a home business entrepreneur and a life coach, and I'm the creator of DestinyHomeBusiness. I'm proud to guide people through the maze of internet marketing, web 2.0 marketing, and home business opportunities and share what I've learned about attraction marketing. I work in an industry where amazing things happen, but it's important to have realistic expectations, to learn and grow, and to realize that building something worth while is always going to take effort. I don't believe in "get-rich-quick" schemes, but I do believe in the law of attraction.

It's been a long circuitous route from where I used to be to where I am now, and I'm not done yet! I like to call myself an &quot;unfinished woman.&quot; Probably my biggest accomplishment, what makes me proudest and happiest, is that I raised a wonderful son. He's all grown up, has been for some time, and he's smart and resourceful, knows what he wants, and he works toward what he wants. He has a vision for himself.

I have a vision for myself, too. But I didn't use to. I used to let life drag me around by the nose, but I made a decision to change that several years ago. I've spent the last eight years making major changes in every area of my life. I left my job as the manager of training and user support at a large Boston law firm about six years ago. I gave myself a year to travel and spent several months traveling in Europe. Then I got back and started a cross country trip to California (which was supposed to be a round trip). When I arrived here on the Central Coast, though, I asked myself if I could live in such a beautiful place, and I gave myself permission. I now live in this beautiful place, Morro Bay, CA. I've made myself a new life. I do things that I enjoy. I read and grow and learn new things.

In my old life, I was burnt out from working long hours under a lot of stress. When I moved here I decided to minimally support myself so I would not be under that kind of pressure... I wanted to allow for what the universe might bring. So, I took a part-time waitressing job (something I hadn't done in 25 years!) This barely supported me, but gave me time to draw and paint, hike, dance, and make new friends. (Recently I even started horse-back riding lessons.) I also got trained and certified as a life coach. As a life coach, and as part of the direct marketing industry I am excited about being able to help others make changes in their lives as I continue to expand in my own.
