What can I say? I'm 13 years old. I am in love with Peter Murphy and he is my god. Music is my life. I am angsty. The drug I am addicted to is a band called Bauhaus. I enjoy Searching for Satori and trying to find out Who Killed Mr. Moonlight so that I can yell at them.I also like to lie around and compose poetic things to say about Peter Murphy :).
I am a goth,but unsatisfied with the modern goth scene. It's become way too commercialized and superficial, and the old school good old gothic rock has been replaced by EBM, Industrial, or Black or Death Metal. These are all respectable genres, but they aren't goth! Yet everyone seems to hold these genres as the stereotype of what goths listen to!
I respect religious people, of ANY religion, as long as they don't try to push their religion on other people. I sometimes play around as a theatrical Satanist, but i don't beleive in Heaven or Hell, I beleive in God more of as a Universal law then an embodied spirit, and I beleive in reincarnation. Now i've stated my semi-religion and would not like to further discuss the topic.
However, I do beleive in the Supernatural and WOULD like to further discuss the topic.
I find ancient/Pagan religion and mythology very interesting, though I don't worship Pagan gods. I have had an impulse to buy a big Anubis statue recently, though I don't know where you can buy those...
I LOVE people, whether they be goths or not, who rebel against the normal boundaries of society.
I was born in Istanbul, Turkey. But I now live in Richmond, Virginia. I am a citizen of both Turkey and the USA. I hate where I live now and once I am old enough I am going to travel alot. I will live in London and in Istanbul, where I was born.
I love Tim Burton's films, Ingmar Bergman's films, and Roman Polanski's films. My all time favorite movies are Nosferatu, The Lost Boys, The Princess Bride, The Seventh Seal, and that wonderfully corny movie called Labyrinth. I really want to see a movie called The Hunger! It's a vampire movie with Bauhaus in it and David Bowie in one of the main roles! I just can't find it anywhere.
I love the art of Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo,Edvard Munch, and well, Rembrandt, though he's a completely different style and time period.
I am a very fast and good reader and ever since I have learned to read I have enjoyed it. My favorite books are The Magus by John Fowles, Anne Rice's Vampire chronicles, and Edgar Allen Poe's poems and stories.I've loved Alice And Wonderland since I was 2 years old and my mom read it to me, and it made sense!
My career will definately have to do with music! Most likely I'll join an orchestra or symphony and play the French Horn because I really enjoy playing it and am very good at it. (I also started learning to play guitar.)
I enjoy Gothic rock and world/classical music.
I love old school Goth bands, especially Bauhaus, which I think, as i have stated before, is the best band of all time!Of course I like all the other bands and projects formed by the members of Bauhaus such as Love And Rockets, Tones On tail, and Peter Murphy's solo career. Other old school goth bands I like are The Sisters of Mercy, Christian Death, The Cult,The Cure,Dead Can Dance,Siouxsie & The Banshees,Sexgang Children, Lords of The New Church, The Birthday Party, and Alien Sex Fiend.I'll gradually list more as I discover them or remember the names, etc.
Love plenty of bands/singers/musicians of other genres such as David Bowie (glam rock), The Doors (psychadelic rock), Tom Waits (Experimental rock) Lhasa Del Sala (world), Black Sabbath (Heavy metal), The Damned(Punk rock),Blue Oyster Cult (Heavy Metal) The Sex Pistols (Punk, come on, we all know that!) and plenty more.
My favorite classical composers are Tchaikovsky and Brahms. I like Turkish and gypsy music also.
