Hi MelloVEL0, thanks for your kind comment. No, I've not seen the programme yet. We get BBC 1 and 2, but not ITV over here. Granada is sending me a DVD, so I'll see it next week, if not online before that. I'm afraid I don't know anything about the left hook problem. When I lived in the UK I was always aware of this and I was always careful. However, I still got caught out a couple of times. Generally this was due to trying to get to an advanced stop box and the lights changing before I got there. It's never happened to me here. I've yet to come across a junction where this problem hasn't been designed out. And that to me is the point. The responsibility lies very largely with those who design the infrastructure.

Have you seen the full ITV programme? You came across very well I thought. :) Unfortunately they gave a one sided view of 'left hooks' in particular - the speeding cyclist going up the inside of a car indicating left, cyclists being faster than cars? (not to mention dooring and overtaking parked cars!!)
