About Me:
Hey there!
Thanks for checking out my videos.
Here's some info about what I do, and a bit of an FAQ.
How did you become a game developer?
I've been using the 3D Game Studio engine since 2001, I started from the very bottom, my education doesn't span past highschool, I didn't go to college, university or do a course to learn what I'm doing, it's all self taught. I began with the basic tutorials and 3D Game Studio manual and just kept attempting again and again at making video games, I made some of the worst stuff as you can imagine. Most people do when they start out. It took 5 years of using the engine on an 'infrequent part time hobby' basis before I gained enough skills/experience to attempt something of a decent quality. It does take time and investment to gain the skills. In 2005 I then worked full time (for myself) for a year working on The Axys Adventures: Truth Seeker PC Game, and since have been continuing various game development for Rebel Planet Creations and Brethren Entertainment part time.
If it is the sort of field you're interested in I really encourage you to not let anything hold you back. It takes time and effort before becoming skilled, and that requires time invested in making many mistakes and getting frustrated having to solve many problems before you can make work of a decent quality. Google is your friend, start with a game engine any game engine :)
When can I play the game you're making with the 'Glorious' videos?
The Glorious videos have been the prototype I have developed for an upcoming RPG named The Rebel Planet: Orion. The story originally written by Tom Hilpert and Peter Churness has been in development since 2003 I think. The game was featured shortly on CNN a few years ago. It has gone thorugh many stages and engines. All the content in those videos alone took me 6 months, it takes alot of time to produce work of a certain quality and it will require alot more attention to complete. At the moment it's a matter of getting resources together to continue with a small episodic doable release of the game. I am working on two other separte projects at the moment, once they are completed my hope is to continue Orion as these projects will hopefully produce the resouces to finish it.
Your support and positive comments are much appreciated. As a fact, from a financial perspective things aren't going so well, I'm not rich from doing this and I don't make very much money from it. This game development work is outside a day job which I need to pay the bills.
Please feel free to support us by going to www.rebelplanetcreations.com and purchasing Axys Adventures!
Thank you!
