The undulations seem to be from the maneuvering water jets of the ROV. I imagine that, without the ROV pushing it around, it would flatten out into a jellyfish-like 'bell' shape and pulsate. It looks like the ROV eventually turned it inside out and folded it over.

Kind of a jarring sound, but a neat idea. I really liked the animation, and nice use of Iroha. Often her voice comes across as too powerful, but this is very nice.
