BANGON PILIPINAS - MAKATI BIGGEST RALLY EST 100,000 PEOPLE DONOTS - 731 views - 5 months ago
was there at the the Interfaith rally at the corner of Ayala and Paseo de Roxas avenues today, February 29. A light drizzle greeted me when I arrived hours before the start of the rally. That didnt dampen my spirits though. I had faith that the InterFaith rally will continue despite the drizzle. Hope reigned in my heart that the InterFaith rally will set the ground for Filipinos to take a look at our current situation. While waiting for the program to start, a buzz of activity unfolded before me : positioning of anti-GMA placards, the security precautions, TV network preparations, enterprising vendors. Vendors hawking all sorts of wares from ice cream and grilled dried squid to hats, buttons, head gears, shirts and umbrellas loitered around, mingling with the rest of the early birds like me.
By some miracle, the drizzle stopped and its place a rain of confetti from the BPI building fell on my face as I gazed on the looming skyscrapers surrounding the stage. The best is yet to come, as I positioned myself across the stage together with some senior citizens.
A banner with Hear no evil, speak no evil, deliver us from Evil. faced me to my right while various Philippine Flags to my left waved to the unison of the soft breeze of Ayala avenue. Ive never felt so proud to be a Filipino.
The Erap magic is obviously alive as the man with the Gloria Resign sign showed off his Erap shirt and also judging from the deafenings shouts of Erap! Erap! from his supporters.
The charismatic Jesus Is Lord leaders- Brother Eddiev Villanueva, Bishop Dan Balais & Bishop Leo Alconga led the crowd in prayer, with almost everyone raising their hands in prayer in the air.
Hands raised in prayer evoked a heart-rending moment during the InterFaith Rally. Three prayer appeals including one calling on the President to heed the will of the people, and another calling on the Armed Forces to protect the people, not just one family surrounded the air. A few shed tears. One felt the crowds faith that truth will soon happen. We may not know the tipping point but our faith is all we have at this point.
In a stirring moment, green balloons were set free into the air, as a young man sang a gospel song in falsetto and confetti rained on the crowd below.
We have been looking for justice. Because we have the [biggest] number of victims of extrajudicial killings. No one has been punished.
We share your prayer: Lord, deliver us from evil. Tama na, sobra na, bumaba na kayo diyan! (Enough is enough. Step down!)
he atmosphere along Makati Avenue felt like a festive fiesta. Groups of rallyists converted Ayala Avenue to picnic grounds. Others brought along snacks. Feeling sapped of energy, I bought fish balls.
Those far from the stage were able to watch the program through an outdoor TV screen. The crowds soon dwindled as soon as Jun Lozada left the stage but some groups opted to stay and rendered their own mini-programs.
The InterFaith Rally is just a start. . Imagine that! est. 100,000 people marched and shouted We want the truth! and Gloria resign! The rally was a success in terms of sending a message to President Arroyo.
I have faith the truth will soon set us free.

DID GMA STEAL THE ELECTION IN 2004 ? DONOTS - 32,249 views - 2 years ago
On January 19, 2001, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, seeing the political upheaval throughout the country, decided to withdraw its support from the president and transfer its allegiance to the vice president, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Without military support, and with mass resignations from his cabinet, Estrada's government quickly fell.

On January 20, 2001, the Supreme Court declared the presidency vacant and the Chief Justice swore in the constitutional successor, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, as acting President of the Philippines. Estrada and his family were quickly evacuated from the presidential palace.

The 2004 presidential election was widely seen as a test of legitimacy for the presidency of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Estrada supported his friend, Fernando Poe, Jr., who became Arroyo's main opponent. However, Poe lost to Arroyo in a close election which some people say she won by cheating, by intimidating those that opposed her and by buying the military to do the cheating for her.

POWER GRAB FROM PRESIDENT JOSEPH ESTRADA DONOTS - 38,176 views - 2 years ago
POWER GRAB FROM PRESIDENT JOSEPH ESTRADA:

The Estrada presidency was soon dogged by charges of plunder and corruption, and he was reported by his Chief of Staff Aprodicio Laquian to spend long hours drinking with shady characters. In October 2000, an acknowledged gambling racketeer, Luis "Chavit" Singson, governor of the province of Ilocos Sur, alleged that he had personally given Estrada the sum of 400 million pesos as payoff from illegal gambling profits, as well as 180 million pesos from the government price subsidy for the tobacco famers' marketing cooperative. Singson's allegation caused an uproar across the nation, which culminated in Estrada's impeachment by the House of Representatives in November of 2000. He was the first Philippine President to be impeached. The articles of impeachment were then transmitted to the Senate and an impeachment court was formed, with Chief Justice Hilario Davide, Jr. as presiding officer.

During the trial, the prosecution (composed of congressmen and private prosecutors) presented witnesses and evidence to the impeachment court regarding Estrada's involvement in illegal gambling, also known as jueteng, and his maintenance of secret bank accounts. However, the president's legal team (composed of a former chief justice, former congressman, former solicitor-general and other lawyers) was quick to deny these allegations and did its best to destroy the claims of the witnesses during cross-examination.

EDSA II Revolution Main article: EDSA II

On January 16, 2001, the impeachment court, whose majority were political allies of Estrada, voted not to open an envelope that was said to contain incriminating evidence against the president. The prosecution panel walked out of the impeachment court in protest of this vote. Others noted that the walkout merit court contempt which Davide, intentionally or unintentionally, did not enforce.

That night, anti-Estrada protesters gathered on the historical EDSA highway at the site of the 1986 EDSA Revolution that overthrew Ferdinand Marcos. A political turmoil ensued and the clamor for Estrada's resignation became stronger than ever. In the following days, the number of protesters grew to the hundreds of thousands.

Hindi mga Gago ang mga pilipinong nagpatalsik kay President Erap, it was really a power grab with the help of chavit Singson the hero of Edsa2 and now the Deputy national security adviser of PGMA, but the main issue of reason is immorality, not Jueteng which was instigated by the late Cardinal Sin who was fighting the root issue of the philippines where it has weaken the justice system of the philippines which there is a new term that is widely used in the philippines called JUST-TIIS meaning the bureaucracy that has rooted in the justice system. Just imagine the ruling that was applied to the former first lady Imelda Marcos where out of 900 corruption cases, only two had succeeded, meaning pagong just tiis.

Sa mga nagsasabing propaganda lang itong video na ito, you're all so PATHETIC.

It's your illegitimate, never truly elected Gloria administration that has demonized Pres. Erap through malicious propaganda practically since Day 1 of ERAP's presidency. Did you really watch the video? It's really so easy to check the archive files of Time Magazine, Herald, etc., if you really crave for the TRUTH.

Huwag kayong bulag. Pinaglololoko ka na di mo pa alam. Di naman siguro kayo under Gloria's payroll. Sanay na sanay na kayo sa propaganda ng pekeng presidente kaya iyon na ang katotohanan sa inyo. Sa lahat ng nakakaawa, iyung nagpapa-uto....
