Desert Heat is one of 'New Country's hottest acts. This band from the Canadian province of Quebec is considered by many to be an innovator of the new crossover sound from 'up north' that has fans raving and the big boys in Nashville watching very closely.

Their independent 2005 debut release " Forever Road" caught the attention of music critics and media almost immediately and spawned a number of radio hits and several award nominations from the Canadian Country Music Association. In 2006 they were nominated for Independent Group Of The Year, and in 2008 they are up for TOP NEW TALENT Group or Duo category. This is no small feat; especially considering the cultural and political climate in the region and that no act in the country genre has ever been recognized from Quebec.

Desert Heat is perhaps largely known for their tight vocals and rock-solid song writing, but it is their reputation for explosive live performances that is winning skeptic and new fans. After years of honing their chops and polishing their showmanship in every conceivable venue type in Canada and the US, they have earned that reputation. In fact, in the spring of 2006 a mere word of mouth, fan-based, campaign led to a series of sold-out shows.
Currently they are preparing for the official release of their sophomore album "Tail Lights & Love" scheduled for summer 2008. This highly anticipated CD features a formidable selection of songs co-written by Nashville's top songwriters and produced by the multi-platinum record-smiths Joel Feeney and Jeff Nystrom. Closely following this release, tour dates are planned for the USA, Canada and Europe.
